I cannot see how this is one hand opening.. but having said that everything else about it is good.. sturdy, came well packaged in a box and easy to assemble. I would suggest buying the separately bought wall/woodwork protector cups. This is cause there is double sided circles of tape which you use to position the wall otherwise and I can see if you needed to remove to decorate this could cause damage to a wall or wood. I do not regret buying the cups or the gate. I am a disabled older lady and managed to fit this no problem with no need to get the drill out. I can recommend this and its a very good price. .excellent quality for the money. I needed it to stop a dog using the stairs. Its high eniugh to prevent small children climbing over it. I can recommend. Its affix on my second step up, I can open it using both hands and step inside and close behind me with one hand easily. the opening needs one to squeeze in two buttons on each side of the latch then lift up the mechanism. As I am opening it towards me and it opens on the right that might be why I cannot open it with one hand. Its not a problem though.

Lindam gate (pressure system). Absolute must have for any parent if you have stairs in your house/flat or want to restrict movement within the house i.e. for dogs. Easy to assemble with manual included and possible to connect with optional extensions to achieve a desired width. It is absolutely possible to mount the gate on a staircase as well, the only thing you need to remember are skirtings and a staircase rail, but I mounted mine without any issue. Please ensure that the side bolts are adjusted properly - attention must be paid to proper adjustment as per manual included to ensure that the gate sits firmly between walls and that the lock works properly. Gate can be operated with one hand only after a little training. Security wise, my 3 years old wee one does not know how to open it, regardless of looking at my hands while doing it every single day. On the other hand, my 6-years old, knows how to open and close it from day one. Please note, that this gate has a bottom bar, and therefore should be fitted in the way allowing to avoid tripping over it, generally closer to the floor is better. I would recommend this gate to anyone having children. Even if children are little older, this will keep them secure, especially upstairs at night time, going half awake to bathroom in the darkness. We got a staffy from our local rescue centre, we were told he had separation anxiety. We bought this gate so we could work on improving his anxiety. It's a good height, he wasn't able to get over the top of it. As long as you put the little switch thing down at the bottom, it is surprisingly robust too. He can still see and hear us, we can help him out or just serve up food without being pestered. The only negatives are that it can be really tricky to use one-handed. It is possible, but when there's an excited dog trying to push past it isn't exactly easy. This is because the handle sometimes struggles to lift up, which is how you release the gate. The other negative is how fiddly it is to mount. You have to tighten four nuts to get it to stay in place. You have just a tiny little spanner they supply to do this. As we were fitting it to a doorway, this meant the spanner would either scrape the wood of the door frame, or just suddenly ping across the room. Much prefer the old style gates where you just rotated a plastic catch to expand.

Ho tre cancelletti in casa e questo è il mio preferito: preso a prezzo stracciato; facile da montare; più stabile di altri cancelletti perché ha i dadi per fissare le viti laterali anziché le classiche manopole; chiusura a prova di bimbo; apribile in entrambi i sensi; ha delle levette in fondo che permettono di bloccare il cancello o farlo aprire solo da un lato. Nota negativa: la maniglia si apre solo con due mani, scomodo per chi ha bambini piccoli o deve aprire il cancello con una mano sola. Per chi come me deve impedire l'accesso a un animale è perfetto.

Wir haben das für unsere Kaninchen benutzt, da eines gerne auf Wandersxhaft geht, quer durch die Wohnung. Die Montage konnte ich auch ganz alleine vornehmen, da sie sehr einfach ist. Es wirkt auch sehr stabil und gut verarbeitet. Der Verschluss lässt sich gut öffnen und schließen, jedoch auch nicht zu einfach, da man beide Hände nutzen muss um die beiden Knöpfe reinzu drücken und gleichzeitig den Hebel hoch zu ziehen. Sollte also für Kinder nicht zu leicht zu öffnen sein.

Es ideal para niños pequeños. Tiene un cierre que es difícil de abrir para los más peques y fácil para los adultos. Lo que más me gustó es que tiene "un segundo cierre" (una pequeña pestaña) en la parte de abajo muy disimulada y difícil de ver, por si consiguen abril la cerradura. El producto es de muy buena calidad por el precio que tiene. Es de fácil montaje y se adapta bien... Pero hay que medir antes el hueco donde quieren ponerlo y consultar con la descripción del producto, antes de comprar el producto. Otra cosa... Acordaros de poner las pegatinas a los tacos que van a la pared... O tendréis que desmontarlo como me pasó a mí 🤭.
