Buying a baby gate I felt unsure about the size of the gate, even with a size were written in the description, but as it turned out everything worked. The only drawback is that if you put it on (and doing it you must cut the strap that holds the gate tightly) and you want to take it off to Mount it somewhere else, it is really a challenge. WATCH OUT FOR A STRAP AND READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

Unfortunately I bought this stair gate in April in anticipation of visits by grandchildren but did not need to use it until the coming weekend. I followed the installation instructions after watching the video but it proved impossible to fit properly. When all the adjustments were tight, I cut the plastic and the gap opened up so the upper lock cannot close. It was also clear that we could not leave this dangerous gate in place when we do not need to use it because the bottom rail could easily trip someone. Which? do not recommend a gate with a bottom rail for that reason. I decided to remove it to investigate further and the frame has bent way out of line so could not be re-installed anyway. Clearly this gate is not intended to be used temporarily then moved. I am shocked that such a poorly designed gate is being offered for sale.

Fitted the gate 7 months ago, it gets quite a bit of use, being in the kitchen access doorway. If we inadvertently lift the lever, the sprung lock comes out. I've given up with it because it now just falls apart when you use it. However on a positive note, it's easy to fit and sturdy.
