One of these is fitted in a doorway, the other is fitted at the bottom of the stairs. They go together quickly and easily, and are very sturdy in place. Our toddler hasn't figured out how to open them yet so that's a bonus. We didn't need the extender piece for either application so I'm not sure who has doorways/openings that wide!

Very good value for money overall. Only gave overall 4 star rating as gate only opens one way and is quite narrow. Works for me absolutely fine as it is to keep the young dog from going upstairs. Easy to erect. Would definitely recommend. Very good that it already comes with extension which need not be used depending on width of doorway.

Many gates would not fit my fairly wide stair case entrance. This one has an extension piece. Fitted well and the latch is secure from little fingers opening it. You need to wind out the adjusters on the side to ensure a rigid fit.

I had 2 days of trying to fit this gate following the step by step instructions which appeared to be very easy. However no matter how much or what I tried I could not get the spindles to tighten up and stay in. In the end I have turned the 'wheel tighteners' on the spindles round the other way. So far they have stayed in place. It wasn't because the gate wasn't level, I tried all that! I am not happy with the gate latch either, not what I expected after other gates I have had. With them the gate latch flipped over onto the bar on the other side to hold in place. This one only catches the other side by 1cm and then when you unlock it there is 2mm still over which makes it awkward to open. But after all the trouble I had fitting it I really can't be bothered to take it down and return it. Definitely wouldn't buy this one again or recommend it. Also if you don't put the bottom locks on then the gate swings open.

Very very easy to install. Babyproof gate easy for lock function adults to use. The more you extend it the flimsier it get as a baby can move the metal gate back and forth. So far nothing has happened it has stood firm. Great value for money and a very good buy.

The media could not be loaded. I've been looking for a gate to block my puppies so they can't go near the front door, got tired to shooing them. Looked everywhere, Amazon had the best pricing & reviews (with videos). 📦: very sturdy with lots of foams & shipping was quick (no prime) Product: good metal quality, lock functionality, easy to use, fits. White blends in with my house. My hallway area is 48.5" wide & this gate extemds to 49"W which is perfect. Pricing: average, paid $55 Installation: a bit confusing but not hard level. Trying to figure which gate pieces matches up then when I pressure mounted to the wall, closing that gap where the latch is was took a few minutes. In the end it worked out. Overall I would recommend!

We bought two of these. One for the full price, and then the other for 1/3 of the full price because we ended up needing to replace an old one and it just worked out to be great timing. When you come into the front door of our house, we do not have much of an entrance way as we have a mudroom at the side of the house in the back and an area where people would take off shoes and such, so the front door is often just to check the mail and have the odd guest come through. The stairs are straight ahead, and then we have the living room on one side and the dining room on the other. We didn't want a gate that would ruin the stairwell wallpaper so we opted to have a gate on either side so that it would block our child two ways instead of one. These were fairly easy to install although we had to adjust the holders on the side a couple of times because it started to mess with being able to latch the gate but after three times we seemed to have got it. They are sturdy enough with the no hardware option and she definitely wouldn't be able to push them over or out of their place. At 17 months old though, she is all eyes for everything mommy and daddy are doing so she almost has it figured out how to open these -it's the sliding motion though that she just can't quite get because she needs bigger hands but she'll be able to open these two no problem later on. We love the fact that we could easily take them off the doorjams in which we have them right now, and take them with us if we are traveling knowing that they'll fit almost anywhere we need it to and the gate itself will cause zero harm, so it's multi-functional. We are thinking about getting a third and maybe even a forth for upstairs as we have a couple rooms that the doors do not shut all the way and she's not yet allowed in so we'll look into that soon. I'm pretty sure anyone buying four of something like this means that it's damn good. The only thing is that we think it's priced extremely high and think low forties would be more than enough to charge at regular price rather than bouncing all over the place with sales. Also, shipping was quick and efficient which is amazing since we live in rural Ontario and don't often get our mail that quickly! If you're considering buying this, just give yourself relief from the headache you'd cause yourself and get the gate! It'll be worth it and you'll be grateful that you were able to keep your toddler or animal safe!
