I needed a stairgate that could be at a slight diagonal due to a doorway being directly opposite the place I needed to mount it, its worked perfectly for this use case. I also find it nicer than a traditional solid stairgate because when retracted its completely out of the way and it just looks nicer too. The mechanism is easy to operate with one hand and it feels sturdy enough. I ordered a second one for my step-mum's house but there was a quality issue with it. However after explaining the vendor sent another one out for me free of charge which worked just as well as the first one. Overall very pleased 👍

Bought to keep my dogs separated at first but was useless my pup could climb underneath, it was used across a doorway. Also if he stood on hind legs and put weight on it it collapsed. Moved to the stairs and stopped both of them going up, however a few times it’s collapsed and they have pulled it off the fittings.

Love this stair gate. We bought one to test and subsequently bought 3 more. We have an open plan sitting room/kitchen and just had a new baby. We didn’t want the dog to be coming in when the baby was on the floor doing tummy time etc so put these up in the two entrances from the hallway where there are no physical doors that we can close. Also put them on the top and bottom of the stairs. They retract when not in use and I love this feature. We used to have a regular stair gate that people sometimes used to trip over on the last step of the stairs and it took up so much space. One tip - you have to lock it at the top or else the dog can squeeze under them. I think an older child might easily learn also how to open them by just pressing that little button at the top so you would need to be careful which direction you place them

Bought one to span the gap between kitchen and lounge. To stop a child 2 and under going into the kitchen. First one lasted 8 months before top broke off and spring and plastic cog flew out. This then cant lock, if placed at top of stairs child or dog could easily fall through it. Got a new one sent out and this ones lasted less than the first one clearly not well made, if only one had been faulty fair enough but 2 going the same way is just bad. Would not recommend for baby / toddlers.

Was sceptical, but because of the layout of our stairs and small hall this made far more sense than a gate had to give it a try. Works really well, certainly keeps our toddler back with it locked, and was very easy to install (has paper guides for you you stick to the wall which makes life much easier. Also had bits to work with or without skirting. Smart. Only watch outs / feedback is anyone less familiar with it may struggle to work out the locking bit (could maybe put something on the lock bit, like a big lock icon with a discreet colour), and the fittings work for flat or corner, they might look a bit better if they were two different fittings than one. That said, I've not noticed that since, so not particularly unsightly. Great product.

Sólo tener en cuenta los zócalos de obra. Nosotros no queríamos agujerearlo y nos ha quedado bastante arriba. También mirar bien la plantilla de instalación. Normalmente con un lado es suficiente para montar la barrera. El mecanismo de apertura y cierre muy cómodo aunque con una mano cuesta un poco volver a acertar en la guía, por lo que habitualmente saltamos por encima.
