Sticky pads with the hooks are not very sticky. The metal rods struggle to stay expanded and the mesh struggles if pushed against, even gently. Would recommend for use with children who aren't too boisterous but definitely not for a puppy! Have opted to buy a metal pressure fit gate instead.

Don’t buy these they are awful to put together if you don’t get the hooks in the right place it won’t work properly and once they are stuck on if you want to take off again it will ruin the wall but taking of paint or wallpaper and they rip easy if caught on something I’m disappointed I’ve lost out £30 as I bought 3 for £9.99 each not worth the money do not buy I repeat do not buy

So the good about this product is its easy to install. Unfortunately my 12 week puppy destroyed it in about 8 seconds. The sticky hooks pop off when the fence is leaned on and puppy can get under it pretty easily.

We used this as a way to introduce our older cats to the new kitten. It was perfect for this. It says not to attached it to paint but we did and to be fair it held for a good while! The bigger cats figured out they could go in and out of the room by squeezing underneath but the kitten wasn't that smart - just something to bear in mind if you are going to use it for pets. I wouldn't recommend it for using with kids, it's not really sturdy enough for that. It got to the point where the elastic hooks snapped on it after about a month. It served it's purpose for us though! And for the price I really really can't complain. Anyone that's expecting a super sturdy stair gate for kids needs to look elsewhere but really that should be self explanatory just from the product photos.

I needed something to stop my puppy, Wilbur, from going up and down the stairs, as he has to rest after he recently had an operation on his front legs. As you can see, the mesh 'gate' doesn't fit across the stairs bottom too well and sags. The stick on hooks that come with the gate are quite adhesive but to get the gate loop over the hook is a bit of a faff. So far, Wilbur hasn't tried to cross the barrier but is interested in it and any amount of poking his nose on the mesh would just destroy it. Although he's only 7 months old, he's big and could easily breach the barrier without much effort. I don't think Frank the cat is as safe there from Wilbur as he thinks! Priced about £11, I threw the packaging away as it's probably more hassle to return than is worth it. Buy cheap, buy twice. Spend a bit more on a better gate

The product fits the description perfectly and was a good cheaper option. It was the correct size. Not easy to rip except the ties. My dog broke the net off of the hook so if your dog weighs 80+ pounds like mine you may need something stronger. Otherwise it would’ve been perfect

This gate is looks better than most gates I have seen. I don't think it would hold up well to large dogs or very small animals. It is rather difficult to get the bottom close to the ground which leaves a gap that some animals may be able to get under. My dog was able to slide under the bottom so we moved the bottom hooks on to the floor which still left a gap that my cat is able to get through. Install is super easy but I recommend having an extra set of hands to at least hold the other side up as you want to make sure it is as taunt as possible. I liked it enough that I ordered a second one.
